Growing up, my mom had a witty little pillow with an embroidered chicken with the saying, "Raising kids is like being pecked to death by a chicken." My brother and I would tease her about that silly little pillow. I may have not understood the full meaning behind that saying until I became a mother. Oh, Momma, I can sure relate now.
There are so many ups and downs about motherhood. One day I feel like I've got it all figured out and the next I wonder why God would allow me to keep such precious cargo within a 20 foot range.
I will keep raising these little chicks, good or bad days, because how rad are they in their superhero get up?!
I'm the luckiest momma hen in the world.
