So head on over to Picnik. Click on Collage. It will take you to a new page. On the bottom left hand side of the page is the Photo Basket. Go ahead and upload your photos you would like to use.
Now that the photos have uploaded, you are going to choose what layout to use. Remember that this is going to need to be a longer width by a shorter height to fit into your blog header so the best ones to use are the 3 or 4 length boxes. Go ahead and select the one you like. Then drag and drop your photo(s) from the photo basket. You can play with the spacing of the photos, proportions, kookiness, roundness to get it just how you want it. If you are going to include text in your header, leave an open space for it or you can also put text over a photo. Click the done button in the upper right hand corner.
It will take you to a new page where you can add in text, stickers, etc. For text, click where it says text and it will open a text tool box like the photo below. Enter your desired text in the box and click add. Choose what font you like. They have a lot of fun fonts to choose from so make sure you scroll down.
When you added the text in it brought up another text tool box on the right hand side of the page. Use this to change font color, size, etc.
It will take you to a new page. Name your file and adjust the dimensions to fit your blog header. Click Save Photo and you are done. Enjoy your new header!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this... I'm in the midst of blog creation and exploring how everyone seems to be making these great headers. I may just use picnik as well :) Thanks from http://sewsimply.blogspot.com
